49ERS: Kenny Vaccaro or Bust!

Image

This is it 49ers Faithful, It’s draft week! With  just only 4 days left until the draft begins, I can only imagine how hectic things are starting to get for the 49ers brass at 4949 Centennial Blvd.

You guys already know who’s #1 on my draft board.  That man is Kenny Vaccaro, Safety out of Texas.

With several of other teams rumored to be going after Vaccaro, The 49ers most likely would have to trade up to get Vaccaro. Although, that shouldn’t be a problem for a team with 33478 picks to play with in this year’s draft. Kingpins, baby!

With the recent departure of Dashon Goldson, I feel that it’s actually the Safety position that needs to be addressed the most for the 49ers.

There is no words to describe how much Dashon meant to the 49ers Defense. He’s one of the prime reasons why the 49ers Defense has been so elite the past few years. It’s hard to replace a guy like him.

I just can’t see Craig Dahl or CJ Spillman being that guy. As well as the other Safeties on the team such as Trenton Robinson, Darcel McBath and Michael Thomas. I just haven’t seen enough from them to make me think otherwise.

The successor to Dashon has to be someone who can impact the game this side of the ball like how Goldson did.

Standing at 6′ ft tall and weighing about 215 lbs, I’m positively sure Kenny Vaccaro can potentially be that guy.

PROS:

– Great speed, agility & balance          – Excellent football IQ

– Outstanding run defender                 – “Fysical with an F”

– Terrific open-field tackler                   – Great size & athleticism

CONS:

– Over-aggressive at times

– Lack of “ball-hawking” skills

– Temper issues

Taylor Mays got nothing on him..let’s make it happen, Baalke!

49ERS: And with the 31st pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the 49ers select…

Imagewho’s name will be called with the 31st pick?

Don’t look now Faithful, but the draft is just 8 days away!

Their is no doubt that the San Francisco 49ers have an abundant amount of needs for their team that need to be filled. With the 49ers having 14 or so picks in this years draft, they can quickly fix all that.

IMO, the greatest needs for the 49ers are DL, TE, S, and maybe even QB. No offense to the offensive guys in this year’s draft (see what I did there?), but in the first couple rounds, it’s the defensive players teams will be rapidly going after.

Look for the 49ers to aggressively go after guys such as, Jonathan Cyrpien, Safety out of Florida State, Kenny Vaccaro, Safety out of Texas, Eric Reed, Safety out of LSU, Sharrif Floyd, DT out of Florida, and of course, Zach Ertz, Tight End out of Stanford.

But then again, Trent Baalke is the 49ers GM and who knows which college players he’s scouted this year. Will Baalke draft another Aldon Smith? Or, will he draft another A.J. Jenkins. We shall see.

Also, I highly suspect the 49ers will package a few of their picks to move up in the draft so they can nab their “guy”.

IN BAALKE WE TRUST.
