I wonder how Culliver feels about this trade?

 

What a Steal.

A proven, solid veteran wide receiver in Anquan Boldin for a 6th round pick? That’s what you call a robbery! I’m going to be honest, the 49ers trading for Boldin was definitely not on my radar. I honestly didn’t see this coming. I always thought that, if the 49ers were even going to get a WR this off-season, is was going to be someone with speed *cough* Mike Wallace *cough*. 

But for me to say that I don’t like this trade would be a lie. I absolutely love this trade for many reasons. Having “Q” on the team will only make the 49ers offense even better. He’s physical, an underrated run blocker and is a huge threat in the Redzone. 

But there’s a problem.

With Boldin coming to the 49ers (pending a physical), what does this mean for the future of Mario Manningham with the 49ers? With Crabtree, Boldin, Williams and Jenkins as for sure locks in the WR depth chart and Manningham recovering from a knee injury, I’m thinking the 49ers will probably cut him. Key word: probably. We shall see. But it’s not looking good for Mario.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with this trade. Like I said previously, The 49ers are the “Kingpins” this off-season. They can pretty much do anything they want. Well, not anything, but you get the point.

I expect many more “big name” signings by the 49ers to come pretty soon. Keep it up Baalke!
